Swift Produce is a family-owned business, serving customers in Southern California for over 49 years. Our founder, William Crutchfield, began his career working in the produce department of a local grocery store. His growing interest and knowledge of produce led to an opportunity with a local produce company where he excelled and soon became the lead purchasing agent for all of the company’s produce.
In 1967, William and his partner, Red Sanders, established Swift Produce. Their initial customer base was restaurants, but they soon expanded to serve school districts, hotels, hospitals, State institutions, senior care facilities, and non-profit foodservice operations. They built Swift Produce on the foundation of understanding their customers needs and delivering quality produce at competitive prices. Today, Swift Produce is still totally committed to quality products and superior customer service.

The Swift Produce team includes experienced produce professionals who understand our customers’ needs and are ready to find solutions that work. We provide 24-hour, 7-days-a-week live answering service and on-call contact information for urgent needs. Customers have a dedicated customer service representative for continuity of service, however, any of our knowledgeable representatives can assist customers if a dedicated representative is not available. Ordering is easy and can be done on the phone, via dedicated fax line, and email. We also offer call ahead for pick-up service. Thanks to our dedicated team, we are proud of the fact that over 90% of our customers have a long-standing relationship with Swift Produce.
We deliver.
Swift Produce operates a large fleet of well-maintained refrigerated trucks, and our drivers are recognized for being courteous and helpful. We deliver 6-days a week, provide fast response times, and can provide same day delivery. We follow all HACCP procedures in the handling and transport of all of our products, fresh and frozen. We do not charge delivery fees, taxes, or surcharges for our delivery services.
